Armenians in Paris

This week marks the 96th anniversary of the 1915 Genocide in Armenia by Turks and on this occasion I wanted to honor Armenians and their great work in Paris. I always knew they were very successful people in many fields particularly that of  Jewelry but in Paris I discovered they are thriving in other areas as well. Among those are a few notable artisans worth  mentioning.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian : Perfumer (available at Le bon Marché)

Alain Manoukian : Fashion (retailer of  womens ready to wear Manoukian brand)

Petrossian - Gourmet food (with locations in NY and LA too ! )

Les marches du Sacré Coeur : un lieu de rencontre où l'on consomme bière !

Montréal devrait prendre exemple et regrouper tous ses sexes shops dans un quartier comme Pigalle à Paris ...

Public transit

• Many people jump over the turnstile in the metro and do not pay
• Because of that, I think, we have to present proof of payment again, b4 we exit RER trains!
• Some people  smoke on the train
• Most trains are dirty and most smell like urine

Ici à Montmartre impossible de les prendre en photos dans les gares d'ailleurs celle-ci est illégale !


• Soldiers with semi automatic weapons are on guard in public areas (Plan dragon )
• Other indecent things happen too that I'd rather not mention here ...

Constats ( par inspectrice Talou)

• les SPECULOOS petit gâteau (biscuits) Belges dont les Français raffolent , guess what : they're plain GINGERBREAD cookies ! They love it so much they've made the spread !

• mes camarades Français suivent les séries télé américaines + que moi, que nous OK....

• ya des kiosques à journaux PARTOUT, la preuve qu'ils lisent + que nous !
• je trouve le style vestimentaire dans les bureaux trop casual , où est le chic parisien ?
• Le Haagen Dasz offre des profiteroles et crêpes fourrés à la glace, je vais tester pour vous !
• dès qu'on sait que vous venez du Qc. on vous parle inévitablement de Céline Dion, bizarre, je ne leur parle pas de Gainsbourg ni de Deneuve pourtant ....
• Organic food is also VERY if not MORE popular here as it is in America
• Le Menu Mcdo est adapté et donc différent ici par exemple sandwich sur pain Ciabatta et fromage de chèvre, bonne idée , je ne vais pas tester. For the record, Mcd's here tastes better as far as McChicken is concerned and to all Québécois, do not ask for a McPoulet you will be corrected by cashier it's a McChicken (procouned in French ) ha ha and ha
• J'ai aussi testé le KFC no it's not PFK ( a little crazy ) different items on menu as bad for your health !
• manger un grec = manger un sandwhich arabe ! rien à voir avec un souvlaki !
